Follow up with Client Deborah
Three years ago Deborah came to our Traumatic Stress Recovery Program (TSRP) struggling with PTSD. After completing the TSRP program Deborah began rebuilding her life. We recently spoke with her, she shared how our program completely changed her life, this is what she had to say:
“My life started anew the day I started your program in 2018. I am so thankful for what I learned from you and the team, how compassionate and committed you all are, and what I continue to remember to practice every day to continue the healing journey. Here is a list of the most important takeaways from the Diversified program. Each of these remain daily practice:
- exercise (Taranis Athletics Cross-Fit – joined the week I left Kelowna – practicing 3x/wk for 3 years now)
- nutrition (I still use the recipes learned from Brigitta and they are compiled into a binder for easy and quick reference; I have also hired another nutritional counselor just recently to “restart” good habits – I lost 40 lbs)
- mindfulness (I practice with a group of doctors that have a program called BCalm.ca)
- self-compassion (learning and re-learning)
- resiliency and hope
- gainfully employed as a Traffic Control Person since June 2020 (I love it, working outdoors on construction projects; pic attached)
Everything the Diversified team does is so valuable! I hope you are continually encouraged with successes. I was so very lucky to go through the program. Thank you! Thank you!”
