Getting Better Together Workshop
The “Getting Better Together” workshop is specifically designed for spouses of first responders. First Responders are encouraged to participate. As first responders are regularly exposed to trauma and high-stress situations, their spouses often bear the emotional and psychological impact of this demanding lifestyle.
This four-and-a-half-hour workshop offers strategies for both first responders and their spouses to strengthen their relationships and enhance mental well-being.
Participants will delve into how the culture of first responders affects family dynamics, confront mental health stigma within the profession, and acquire techniques for managing stress and secondary trauma. Through a combination of discussions, interactive exercises, and expert guidance, the workshop seeks to rejuvenate relationships, improve communication skills, and foster effective self-care practices. Additionally, ongoing support resources will be provided to help first responders, and their families navigate their journey together with resilience and strength.

Testimonial
I wanted to pass along thanks to you, Dustine, and the presenters for the Getting Better Together Workshop yesterday. It was a lot more sharing of things than I realized but everyone made it comfortable to do so. It also made me not feel alone in my feelings. It was a wonderful workshop to attend and I took away a lot, along with resources myself and family can use. I wish more people had of taken part but I am happy I was one who did. Thank you and have a great day!
