Pre-Admission Program
“Knowing others is intelligence. Knowing yourself is true wisdom. Mastering others is strength. Mastering yourself is true power.” – Lao Tzu
At Diversified we believe in meeting individuals where they are at in their journey to healing. We recognized that some participants could benefit from some additional support prior to attending our residential programs. The Pre- Admissions program was implemented to help reduce participant’s anxiety towards attending the residential programs, along with the intention empower participants to begin to explore some strategies and self- regulation techniques that can help them begin their healing journey at home.
The Pre-Admission Program is offered to individuals who require immediate support while awaiting admission to either our residential Traumatic Stress Recovery Program (TSRP) or Anxiety and Depression Recovery Program (A&DRP). It is important to note that this is not a stand-alone program. It is a complementary program that is recommended for someone who is awaiting admissions or may require some additional support prior to starting a residential program.
This program is 4 weeks in duration and is specifically designed to offer in person or remote services in a safe and supportive manner. Key aspects include:
- In person or video counselling
- Psycho-educational sessions
- Mental health coaching
- 24/7 access to our Members Portal & guided resources
The 11 counselling sessions and 8 mental health coaching sessions are structured to include a psychoeducational component which introduces participants to topics that help them gain an understanding of the biopsychosocial components of trauma, anxiety, and depression as well as concepts and techniques towards healing. The sessions also include discussions, reflections, mindfulness practices, exploration of self-regulation techniques and the creation of customized ways for individuals to begin using these techniques within the scope of their daily lives. Participants are also given self-reflections assignments to further explore various components of the psychoeducational topics.
